SOPO WOMEN IN STEM

Women in STEM (womeninstem.org) is an international non-profit organization created to
support, empower, inspire high school girls to realize their untapped potential in STEM careers,
where women are historically undervalued and underrepresented. WiSTEM takes a uniquely
social approach to a fact-oriented field to build a network of support for young women across
the globe. Guided by a National Advisory Council with representatives from Harvard University,
500 Women Scientists, and Amazon Lab126, we currently work with over 26 chapters across 11
states and 3 countries to serve over 550 girls globally. We hope to continue to make positive
changes towards closing the STEM gender gap through our chapters (such as yours!) to
magnify our impact globally.
